Throughout the day we come across various human stories, stories released by the different media that constantly bombard us with thousands of advertisements solidarity of associations u NGOs where we are shown cases of child malnutrition. From home, sitting on a comfortable sofa, the messages that come to us can be more or less shocking, even causing more regrets when they are inserted at mealtime. It seems that even our conscience is not removed because it is something like “you get used to them” and you don’t even pay attention to them, do we become invulnerable?

The campaign that I am going to present to you has awakened my sensitivity, it brings me back to reality, it agitates me and makes me feel that I am the most privileged person in the world. As a human being and as a professional I decide to share my empathy and try to remove consciences through this article. Summer invites us to disconnect but we should not look the other way when it comes to issues solidarity and humanitarian aid.

We are talking about child malnutrition.

In the world, about a billion people spend hungry, according to . Y about 200 million children under 5 years of age suffer chronic malnutrition, whose effects will be felt for the rest of their lives. In addition, around the 13% of children under 5 years of age have acute malnutrition, which requires immediate treatment and urgent medical attention.

Nutrition, a fundamental right.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child establishes the right of all children to a standard of living suitable for their physical, mental, spiritual, moral and social development.

Malnutrition is one of the main threats to the survival, health, growth and development of the capacities of millions of children, as well as to the progress of their countries.

The basis of human development implies having the basic needs covered to survive, as indicated in Maslow’s pyramid of Motivation Theory. (Maslow’s pyramid).

Enough food is produced in the world to meet the needs of all the men, women and children who inhabit it. Hunger and malnutrition are not only a consequence of lack of food, but also of poverty, inequality, errors in the order of priorities, lack of attention, rising food prices, conflicts that cause massive displacement. of the population, droughts, among others.

Repercussions of malnutrition.

The malnutrition is he result of insufficient food intake (in quantity and quality), the lack of adequate care and the appearance of infectious diseases.
