Scriptlance Clone Move 2 (22 July 2010)
Scriptlance Clone, PHP, Perl/CGI, Google, Freelancers, Elance Clone, Conversion, Clone

I have a site that is using the same script that scriptlance.com is based on. It is the now defunct script called "Freelancers" from SmarterScripts. If you know what I'm talking about then chances are you have used or at least seen this script in action before.

My site is using this cgi script and I would like to convert it to a more robust solution that is using PHP. I'm still looking for a solid PHP freelance script to convert to so if you can recommend one that would help.

I would need to ensure that all users and their information are transferred entirely. Also all projects and all details are transferred. The urls to the site that are already indexed in google also need to be 301 redirected to the new location of the new pages using the new php script.

If you have experience with such a project then I will have preference to use you. References would be needed to prove that you've done a similar task.

Any questions should be posted on the PM. Thanks.

NOTE: I would like to clarify that I need a conversion from the old CGI script to a new PHP freelancers script. It is not the case of just move one site to another server.

Scriptlance Clone 2 (21 July 2010)
Search Engine Optimization, Scriptlance, PHP, Perl/CGI, Clone

Hello everyone.,

I have posted this project months back and all i got was, a lot of people posting about their acheivements in creating websites. It was a waste of time for me. They even showed samples of 'alternates' to scriptlance based websites (like elance, odesk etc). So i was totally irritated and i cancelled the project.

Now I'm requesting again.

My specifications are simple.

1. The website should be an "EXACT" replica, in terms of functionality and appearance as SCRIPTLANCE.

2. Scriptlance is based on CGI/Perl. I would like the same too.
(If any of you feel PHP is better, tell me how and why)

3. The Graphics will be changed. I will provide it.

4. Should suggest the best domain name and hosting for it.

5. Should upload the website and teach me its usage.

6. Should have all features of Scriptlance.

7. SEO and Advertisement of my site.

Product budget is 500 in total. (i.e all the 7 points cost 500)

Please dont state over priced bids,...Because i know that Scriptlance itself sold its clone for 120 bucks a few years back......

So bid accordinly.

Message me with 'Simba the Lionking', if you want your bid to be considered.

Happy bidding, friends.

Solr Lucene Search Developer (12 July 2010)
PHP, Programming, MySQL, Modification, Integration, Search Engine, Perl/CGI, eBay, Development, Search, Java

Do not apply unless you can do this job swiftly and without fuss
My auction website www.thedeadskunk.com search engine needs improving. As an example I wish it to work in the same manner as say ebay search engine does, showing the same results.
I had a programmer work on the internal search engine, but parted ways with them, as they were not giving my search engine project the correct and proper attention.
If you are a php wizard who knows how to sort out the boolean search functions for my site, so all is picked up and displayed as per ebay.WITHOUT nasty horizontal page expansions and the loss of other functions, than let me know.Payment will only be made on completion of work.

1) That does require you install SOLR in your server, build an entire indexing / search engine that will make the search 500% faster the site really is slow right now because we are using Mysql instead of SOLR-Lucene indexes for search

...

2) After that go in and index your existing products database.

...
3) Make all actions for add/remove/update of your products be in sync with the search index.

4) Integrate the UI for the new search engine where it brings up relevant results in just microseconds.

5) Integrate UI for autosuggest and so forth.

6) When listing, users upload images or pictures to their listings.Sometimes these images are too large in size and the users receive an error message regarding this.I would like the site to work as such, when a user uploads images which are too large, these images are automatically reduced on the fly to a permitted size without any extra load the server and zero image degradation. Also would like all images which are on site to open-up/enlarge upon mouse over without the surfer/searcher/browser having to click on any image in order to get it to enlarge.
If you go here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RANGE-ROVER-VOGUE-V8-SUPERCHARGE-4-2-05-NOW-SOLD-/280411291657?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4149d0c009

7) Fix the search function so the search indexes correctly when it you drill down contextually.

8)Look for "dead people" in the code you already have because it seems to be like it's not somehow 1000% robust

9)Also the "wanted ad" section needs fixing, as if you wish to place a wanted ad and click on Category>modify or additional category>modify the site just freezes as it takes an age to load said categories.Your original suggestion regarding access to root on server and additions to may solve this.

Local Event Ticket Exchange We (07 July 2010)
Programming, PHP, Perl/CGI, MySQL, Javascript, Development

Designing and creating a local ticket exchange where people who have tickets can list them on our exchange and buyers can shop for those seats.

A seller would register and list their inventory; a credit card would need to be authorized if there were a problem or cancelled show. Some sellers may like to upload their inventory from a spreadsheet in a csv file.

A buyer experience usually starts using the search function of the site to pull up the event, venue, date, etc. So a strong search engine or filter is required. Many sites now use a geo/ip to identify where the buyers are and reveal content related to their geographic area. Buyers can purchase tickets using a graphical interactive seating diagram.
They can use a credit card to be processed from a payment gateway like authorize.net or paypal.

Since the sites are marketed through search engines a tracking system needs to be applied. A system where discount or promo codes at check out is also needed.

There would be a commission taken from the seller and a service fee added to the buyer.

There would need to be an admin site to adjust events/sellers/etc...
There would need to be a way to scale the system to add new venues, seating maps, events, etc...
The buyers and sellers would be able to log into their accounts and monitor sales, etc..
Some kind of shipment tracking system that interfaces with FedEx api should be included, so buyers can track their package and get email updates as to the shipping status.
Ideally there would be an affiliate system built in so others can add the site to their website and earn commissions on sales.

Here are some examples of other sites:

Ticketfeeder.com
Their home page has some kind of geo / ip detection that displays events in your local area.

http://www.ticketfeeder.com/Concerts/event/Roger-Waters/American-Airlines-Center---TX/11-21-2010-20-0

A blue dot on the seat map corresponds to a section in the list of tickets for sale.
They also have a filter by price.

Barrystickets.com
Similar, geo / ip targeting on home page
Interactive seat charts on some events:
http://www.barrystickets.com/list.php?prodID=963869

SELLING TICKETS:
Basically the selling end allows users to list tickets they have for sale
The seller must register and provide a valid credit card so if the show is cancelled or there is a problem with the ticket, the exchange can charge the credit card.
Most sell sites make you choose from a list of events/venues/dates so the user must pick something that is already in the system. We would need to be able to add events or venues that are not yet in the system.

stubhub.com is the leader in this field.
This is how you enter details about tickets you have to sell:
https://www.stubhub.com/promotions/scratch/common/SellHub_Take_A_Peek.html

Ticketsnow.com
they are one of the biggest ticket exchanges -
here is how their sell your ticket side works, very similar to stubhub
http://www.ticketsnow.com/SellYourTicketsNow/GettingStarted.aspx?s_cid=feat_d_l

https://www.ticketsnow.com/SellYourTicketsNow/SaleDetails.aspx
some nice pricing features here for the seller.

ticketsnow also sells tickets, but there map is not interactive:
http://www.ticketsnow.com/InventoryBrowse/Roger-Waters-Tickets-at-American-Airlines-Center---TX-in-Dallas?PID=970197

Razorgator.com is another exchange; here is how there sell side works:

http://www.razorgator.com/tickets/pages/cst/selltickets

Interactive Seating Charts
New feature on many sites now have interactive seating charts
But they also have to default to a static map if they don't have interactive yet

Most of these sites utilize the same data base of tickets that are supplied through a feed and then mapped out to seating charges. The tickets are listed at a wholesale price and marked up by the web plug-in and processed through the point of sale system. You should also be able to build a site using a web plug-in from other ticket exchanges to display inventory.

http://www.stubhub.com/roger-waters-tickets/the-wall-live-tour-featuring-roger-waters-tickets-dallas-american-airlines-center-11-21-2010-958986/ they have a filter for price and quantity, zones and delivery type.

http://www.razorgator.com/tickets/sports/football/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers-tickets/?performance=7954119|1

http://www.ticketliquidator.com/tix/tickets.aspx?evtid=1384912

http://www.gamestub.com/roger-waters-tickets/roger-waters-at-american-airlines-center-11-21-2010-1352629/
Heavy experience with ecommerce platform development and relational data base required.
Javascript, perl, php and MySQL.
We would like you to set up a system where local events are initially installed, but you can provide us with the tools where we can easily add other events and venues. Please explain how this can be accomplished.

Please provide examples of your past development, pricing and time frame. Please be specific as to what is included in your price and what is not.

Original Clipart Designs (02 July 2010)
Design, Perl/CGI

Hi,

I'm looking to have designers create custom clipart collections for my website that I own the rights to and can distribute. The work must be 100% original. The clipart will range from all subjects like Christmas, Sports, School, Office, etc... Here are some examples of the quality of clipart I'm looking for:

http://www2.free-clipart.net/cgi-bin/clipart/directory.cgi?direct=clipart/Sports/Track_And_Field
http://www.free-clip-art.com/members/content/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Food_Clip_Art
http://www.free-graphics.com/clipart/Baby/baby1.shtml

I don't need the absolute best clipart, I just need a lot of it for cheap. I'm going to setup this project at $100. How many pieces of clipart can you design me for $100? How about $1000? I'm really trying to figure out what the going rate is to have original clipart designed. I guess I'm really hoping for teams of designers to submit bids, as I will eventually need thousands of pieces of clipart. I'm afraid an individual couldn't possibly design it fast enough for me.

Send me some private messages, I'm interested in what you can do for me.

Regards,

Wyatt
